So in case you weren't aware
Matt and I are MARRIED!We have been married for over a week now and if I do say so myself it is quite stupendous! (I told you it would be wonderful, just like I wrote on the side info bar of this little blog do-dad).
Anybody wanna know some interesting things that have happened since we have become le newlyweds? WELL! First off, we were married in the Raleigh, North Carolina temple which was beautiful. The sealing ceremony was so simple, but so wonderful at the same time. I hope I will always heed the counsels given by President Tucker(who also gave me my patriarchal blessing). Thanks to everyone that came to the actual ceremony; it meant a lot to both of us (even if Matt didn't really know who you were). What SUCKED was that it turned out to be a whopping 100 degress ferenheit outside that day so HELLLOOOO taking pictures was just lovely. Matt and I were sweating up a storm and when the rest of the family wasn't in pictures they all gathered together underneath the shade so that they could escape the sweltering heat of the huge hot humid sun. I myself only went in the shade for about two seconds.
There was ONLY one cloud that covered us during the whole course of taking photos. Thank you little cloud for trying to save us, you gave a valiant effort!

After the pictures were done being taken the familys and friends who came to the temple all went out to eat at the Cheesecake Factory and then we all separated and Matt and I drove back to Greensboro to stay in our hotel until the reception...yada yada..blah blah blah..wedding night..oolala..you get the picture. It was nice having a day to ourselves before the actual day of the reception. We got married on a Wednesday and had our reception on Friday night. Of course, I was not completely part of all the mayhem that ensued during trying to get all of the reception stuff finished on that Thursday, but overall I think it was a good idea to have that little rest day (or final day to get things done) before the reception. YAY RESTING!
The reception was wonderful. Do you see the writing on the marquee outside the Carolina Theatre? BEAUTIFUL! I loved it. It was so perfect
spend eternity with Matt. AH! SO GOOD! But yes, the reception was lovely. The cake was from Maxie B's so duhhhhh it's gonna be wonderful and the centerpieces were sunflowers. I loved the photographer and the food was wonderful. Everything that I had been worrying about for over 4 months finally came together and it all worked out. At the end of the night I was finally able to give a sigh of relief. (The thing I was happiest about was that I didn't have to try and please everyone anymore (Matt doesn't count and that's not how I mean it)). I was glad I got to actually dance and even though I did have food at the table I was sitting at, I didn't get to eat it because so many people kept talking to me. What Matt and I liked best about that is that the people who talked to us would come up and say "Oh I am so glad you get to eat!" but then they would continue to talk to us for about 5 more minutes...which in case you weren't sure took up all the time that we had to eat, which is kind of ironic seeing as they were so ecstatic that we were going to be able to eat at our own reception. Alas, it was not so.
We got to go to the beach too! I will have to write about that in a different post though because umm...this one is just a teeny bit long. Anyways, I'm off to hang out with my HUSBAND! :] :]
I am so happy for you guys!!! Ask anyone in my group here the day before, day of, and day after, I'm sure I was obnoxious talking about how my best friend was getting married and blah blah blah. AND NOW YOU ARE! Finally. Anyways I love you both and hope you are having a fantabulous honeymoon!
